As a member of the Programs Team, this position is responsible for carrying out administrative tasks to support our progressive and transformational social service programs, which include work and life skills training programs, as well as client support and street outreach programs for individuals facing homelessness and adversity.


Reporting to the Manager of Social Service Programs, you will be the main resource for all administrative needs for the programs team. Your role plays a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation, efficiency and efficacy of our programs.

Through your strong and savvy administrative skills, you will carry out day to day administrative duties, including, but not limited to, managing correspondences with clients and stakeholders, maintaining, updating and filing documentation, scheduling meetings and appointments, inputting client information into the database for the purposes of tracking and evaluation.

Your strong attention to detail will be valuable while supporting and implementing the logistics and of several sessions of programming per year. This will include the ordering and distribution of supplies and materials, preparing meetings and in-class sessions, guiding participants through a registration process, as well as other administrative duties.

With your warmth and positive attitude, you will be part of team working directly with our clients and other stakeholders, ensuring they feel welcome and supported. As one of the first “faces” to greet our clients at the door, and as the main phone operator, you will have the opportunity to set their experience in motion and help ensure that it is a most positive one.

We are seeking a highly personable and organized individual who meets the following eligibility criteria:


  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role and related setting
  • Strong administrative and tech skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Competency in working with CRM databases
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technology systems
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-starter and proven success in working independently
  • Experience working with marginalized populations and passion for helping others
