Tonight begins our celebration of the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, commemorating the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai, seven weeks after the dramatic exodus of the Israelites from Egypt.

As we gather together with our families, friends, and community this weekend to enjoy the traditional dairy delicacies of this harvest holiday – the quiche, the cheesecake, the ice cream! – please consider adding a new tradition to your holiday celebrations and bake cookies or make sandwiches for Ve’ahavta’s outreach van clients through our Make-a-Meal program.

Our outreach van clients don’t just enjoy, but rely on the sandwiches, cookies, and other baked goods, that you lovingly prepare. And it just so happens that right now there are lots of Make-a-Meal shifts that need to be filled.

Please sign up for a shift today!

Happy Shavuot,

Cari Kozierok,
Executive Director, Ve’ahavta
