Last updated 19 April 2021: We are not accepting any item donations. We continue to operate with a skeleton staff at our offices and have a significantly reduced capacity to receive donations. Although we appreciate the generosity of our community, we encourage our supporters to limit leaving their homes for non-essential trips and ask that you hold on to your items until further notice.
Help support people who are experiencing homelessness and poverty by donating needed supplies to Ve’ahavta.
Scroll down to see the list of needed items, which can be dropped off outside our office front door at 200 Bridgeland Avenue, Unit D in North York. Please note, due to our COVID-19 protocols, we ask you not to place donations in the yellow drop box in the parking lot.
Follow these 3 easy steps when dropping off donations:
1. Ring the doorbell.
2. Place your item(s) next to the front door.
3. Step back to wait for a staff member to respond through the intercom.
We are happy to provide a tax receipt for new items accompanied by proof of purchase. Please be aware that if we cannot use the items you provide (ex. out of season or don’t meet the needs of the clients) we may choose to pass these items on to other charities to utilize. If you have items for donation that are not on our list, please feel free to call us if you think we might be interested.
Ve’ahavta does not pick up donations. If you are a corporation or otherwise have a large amount of goods to donate please reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss.
