With the HOT summer of 2020, essential supplies like weather-appropriate clothing, water, and sunscreen are matter of health and safety for those experiencing homelessness.
This is where you come in.
1) Sign up & promote
By signing up you are committing to collecting and organizing any amount of items donated by your friends, family, neighbours, and community. Hey, why not ask your mail delivery person?! We’re here to help you get the word out: download our marketing material, including a digital and print-friendly poster, as well as social media posts you can easily share to get your people on board!
2) Collect & Organize
Collect items from the wish list and sort them into labelled bags (categorized by item). If you prefer, you can also collect funds and purchase the items (we can help you get them at wholesale prices). Whatever works for you works for us!
3) Drop off
You are welcome to drop off your items any time during regular business hours by August 12th 2020, but wouldn’t it be more fun to make a party out of it?!
On Wednesday, August 12th, from 3:00pm – 6:00pm, come by the Super Drive Drive-Thru Drop Off Party where we will collect your donations, hand out prizes and snap a photo for the #VeahavtaSuperDrive social media Wall of Fame.
P.S. Be sure to keep track of the number of bags donated and hours you spend advertising, collecting and sorting, you’ll need these later and prizes will go top donors!
P.P.S. If you’re looking for high school service hours, make sure you fill out any associated forms to have us sign off on them.
